Seems like an appropriate move to celebrate animation importing.  She's back-flipping for joy!  Nice work, EdT.

Re: Movies

Isn't that the ninja's run back kick ?

it can be modified in xml by comparing it to the back cartsweel right ? that's how i did it for one of my yet to be released characters tongue and the run forward kick of the ninja by comparing it with the xml of muro's forward cartsweel ...

btw to Ed & Iritscen u wondered abt akane's back jump flip, there's already a back jump flip animation, only Konoko and the ninja have them .

the one I gave akane was konoko's , and the one i gave jubei was ninja's

<TRACAnimation>
                <Weight>100</Weight>
                <Animation>TRAMKONOKOjump_bk_crouch</Animation>
</TRACAnimation>

Re: Movies

Bubble burst...    lol

Samer: Actually, Motoko's back flip was created in XSI.  I extracted Konoko's back cartwheel move TRAMKONCOMcrouch_bk as DAE, imported it into XSI and then made the changes on the 3D model, then imported it back to Oni.  That was part of my learning 3D animation in XSI.

I guess, I'm not much of a player, I didn't know or remember the Ninja run back kick move.  Oh well...  smile

Re: Movies

I'm surprised too, I didn't know about that move until I saw Samer's video.  I was a little unclear as to how you were making a move I'd already seen in Samer's video, but I figured I'd just congratulate you anyway and not think about it too hard ^_^;

Re: Movies

It's still very impressive Edt that u were able to do that from konoko's cartwheel !

i always wanted to see a right and left cartwheel in the game is that possible to be done ?

Re: Movies

If I can criticise:
By the eye, you can see the hands should be a bit in front of her when she puts them on the ground.
After that there should be a ease-in effect (your second version is nice) and after she finished rolling, she should've moved feet a bit farther than the hands, or simply move the whole trunk (body) and it will be perfect.
Any plans in including it into a mod?

Re: Movies

Tudorge: Thanks for the comments, I'm a newbie when it comes to 3D animation, I've been doing 3D animation for about 3 weeks, so there's a lot that I need to learn.  Making moves look more realistic is certainly one of them smile

Which move are you referring to?  Back flip, cartwheel right or left?

Also, have you ever considered learning 3D animation?  XSI Mod Tool is free.

Someday when the moves are better, I'll update the package for Motoko with these moves.

does that mean they'll replace her shadow dash ? because we're kinda accustomed to her shadow dash tongue

:$ after u're happy with them .. may i use the left and right cartwheel with shinatambot and a new female character I'm going to make ? :$

P.S : shouldn't we move this to a new thread ? smile

[Not unless you are going to make a few more posts on the subject :-) --Iritscen]

being in the wrong thread discourages me to :-) Samer
