Ok in a bit of a dilima here...

Ok, so apparently Oni PC isn't free yet, and only the demo is, so need to decide if I should buy a New Oni PC for 50 bucks on XP, or spend 7 bucks  for the 95/98/ME version.

what do you all think?

Huh? the 95/98/ME Oni works on XP, just use Daodan.dll.
7 bucks is all you really need.

Pirates can get it to you for free, though illegally.

If you're willing to pay $7, I suggest you do

I found that 50 dollar copy. 99% chance is that it is exactly the same. Go with the 7 dollar one.

OK, jsut to be sure, Would the 98/ME version have any drawbacks or flaws that the XP version wouldn't have?

Nope. Just get Daodan dll and it'll run fine. (it may crash initially, but the dll fixes it along with providing extra features)
