Tried to add package locally. Got 1 local package in mod type dropdown but no any in mod listbox. Also, no any tool available to run. What's wrong?

Fixed by cleaning trash from installed_tools.xml

Did that fix both problems or only the no-tools problem?

Fixed only no-tools problem. Invisible local mod still invisible in listbox.

Hm, that's weird. If you want you could send me the package and I'll try to figure it out (if it doesn't show up for me either

Works fine here. Did you remember to "install" the tool from the tool management dialog? (It's not a mod but a tool -> managed by Tools/Manage Tools)
Wondering why you make a standalone app which has nothing directly to do with Oni itself an AEI package instead of just putting it in an arbitrary folder and running it manually ![]()

Actually, this standalone app using .dat ONI content and can't run without it. And yes, i installed it from tools section.

Ahhh ... ok, thought you had the required data exported to be used in your prog ![]()
Regarding the problem: What is the actual problem you're facing right now? *What* do you expect *where* to appear? If you got your package listed in the tool-management dialog everything is as it should be, isn't it? ![]()

But why it isn't listed in mods dialog? I only got "Local(1)" label and nothing more.

Because the mod list only shows mods (and a mod is defined as something that modifies original Oni) so it never shows tools ![]()
But the type list should not show the "local" category if there is no actual mod ... Thanks for the hint, never noticed that before.

Curious, how AEI determines is that thing a mod or not? By links to level files or stuff?

For packages that are on the Depot it checks if the package has the category "Tool" or "Patch" set. For packages that are only locally available (like yours) it checks if the package contains a "plain" folder.

No prob. "Local" category showing is fixed, will be in 2.19. Thanks for the report ![]()
