Well, thanks to you, I looked at DeviantArt to find a good Valkyria Chronicles wallpaper for my desktop.

Thanks to you, entire pagefulls of a sumo-wrestler version of Alicia are burned into my skull forever.

Hope you're happy.

But I did find a few badass cosplays! And a few terrible ones. And an awful lot of swimsuits.

...Next search, Underwor- No, fuck that, I already know my inspiration for Kowalski, I don't need it staring me in the eye everytime I turn on my PC. And I don't want to know what disturbing Rule34 that DA has for that movie.

Well, I found this, but the resolution isn't 1080P, and in my experience, scaling images to fit desktops look ugly. What a shame, would have been awesome.

I mean, who wouldn't want a desktop wallpaper of the four best written antagonists of the past decade? Not even Handsome Jack, Raul Menendez, or Staffan Sentzke can hold a candle to The Triumviri.

TBH though, Gen. Bles would have looked better holding that one Assault Rifle (The name of which escapes me) she has during the last encounter with her, instead of that Lance she uses during the other two encounters. Besides, that Lance isn't exactly her signature weapon anyway considering three of the protagonists in the series use the exact same kind of weapon at some point, unlike AssaultRifleWhichNameEscapesMe.

Ah screw it, might as well. My Halo 4 desktop is starting to get stale, and every time I look at it I get reminded of all the wasted and untapped potential that Halo 4 had. Possibly the most overrated/overhyped game since DNF/BF3/Dust514. Not a good sign when paid DLC releases less than a month after release, usually a sign that the game shipped unfinished, as Halo 2 taught- And now I'm digressing, well, off to Photoshop!

Well, uh, viola. Something feels wrong though about it, I'll probably replace it soon enough. Had to move my desktop icons down to the bottom of the screen because they blocked out the faces of Jaeger, Gregor, and Maximillian.

You should all pity me now. I had to look through pages of fanart that made General Bles look like a prostitute, Alicia to look like a a sumo-wrestler, and roleswaps of Gen. Bles and Alicia in order to find that image.

photoshop resizing keeps it looking good .. unlike other programs or just using windows stretch \ fir background

Going to be honest though, I cringe watching most Anime for more than a couple of seconds. The only thing that saved Valkyria Chronicles for me was the game. Terrible anime (Narm, poor writing, you name it, the writers and animators had little/no knowledge of war), but an absolutely fucking glorious game.

And then the dumbed-down sequel came. Followed by an even more dumbed-down sequel that fell victim to the plague known to many as the Modern Warfare setting. Followed by a spinoff (PC exclusive, yay.) that will be falling victim to the plague known as Publisher's Multiplayer Requirement when it releases sometime this year. RIP.

Not sure what version of Windows you are using, but the "Fill" and "Fit" settings for big wallpapers looks simply perfect to me. Never had a problem with it. Although "Stretch", on the other hand, looks horrible, of course.

Man, this always confused me. I had no memory of making my current desktop image, but I couldn't remember downloading it either. It was driving me nuts. My desktop is really simple. I like the simple thing, and the less icons.

As for a side note, I thinking on changing that picture to a Guilty Gear one, because they finally released the XX Accent Core Plus R on PC... and again finally they made Justice normal playable instead of some short of killer boss machine.

Thank you. I always loved the giant mechs. I still use XP and I don't care about the lack of support, because everything run what I love. I can play on ONI of course, I can play and host server for Ultimate Knight Windom XP, and the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R run works great with the latest patch. Other than this I not really play nowdays.

However the server still not want to accept my avatar. XD

HC Tech Byte is back and here unofficially!

Your best bet is scaling picture in Corel PhotoPaint or Photoshop or GIMP then sharpening then lowering contrast n brightness a bit then softening the image. You get a better scaled fine picture. Any app that can scale image infinitely without pixelating is fake unless image inputted is a vector not a scalar.
