Because Bungie has a taste for making big games ever since Microsoft footed the bill for the Halo series. They don't want to go back to smaller games like when they self-published, so they need another publisher with a big purse.

Naw, they just like making big games now. Anyone who starts out as a small game developer dreams of expanding his company and making bigger and bigger games. Bungie is in the AAA market now, and those games are super-expensive to make. I can't think of too many indie studios out there making big games (besides Valve).

I would'nt wait for Bungie to make something similar to Oni, I really doubt they'll ever do that.
-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....
