The eBaums link is a game of (fake) Celebrity Jeopardy. One of the better things that SNL has done in my opinion.

How many of you know the infamous "Star Wars Holiday Special"?
I'm just interested in hearing because I only found about it a few months ago and watched part of it

People say that that's the ultimate test of fandom: if you watch it and still love love SW after it, you're a true fan...

I've watched probably 80% of the Special; it's hard going, but if you are accustomed to terrible movies (say, from watching Mystery Science Theater 3000), it's not too traumatic. There's one decent part, in my opinion, and that's the animated short that introduced Boba Fett. I'm actually quite fond of it, in fact.

First I watched some of the beginning, then after ten minutes of random Wookiee howling my thoughts were along the lines:
"What is this @#✗^<!?! This isn't Star Wars!!"
Then, after calming down, I looked at it again. I realised that it goes over 'bad', becoming 'good' in an... unique way
Still, i don't blame Lucas and Co. for denying its existence

In a way, it isn't Star Wars because Lucas contracted it out to some guys in England. It was the last time he would allow someone to work in his universe with no supervision whatsoever

Ahh, I've heard of this 'Christmas Special' but I didn't really know what it was. I'm a huge fan of star wars (I've read most of the books, and own most of the games) but I've never seen the Special before. I might have to take a look
