Re: Screenshots

Eh....I suppose you could get the same effect by getting shot at with 50 plasma rifle shots in the space of a second.

Re: Screenshots

I did it with a laser that shoots a beam every frame with the hit effect being the same as the plasma rifle's.

Re: Screenshots

I think there's a piece of burning equipment in one of the rooms through which you can get on the roof and then you can just walk onto a plane... all you need is behemoth.

Re: Screenshots

I did not use any codes to get there. I just altered my spawn location to be ontop of the building instead of spawning on the street smile

Re: Screenshots

Recently I finished reading BAA, so it' nice to see Alita in game big_smile. The only objection I have is her pale face. Anyway, she looks gorgeous big_smile

edit: Oh, and I think she's too tall. Her height should be the same as Shinatama's

Re: Screenshots

Very good work! big_smile
I'm a big fan of BAA and BAALO and I own all Mangas of it.
Geysers Gally/Alita model looks exactly like the original in BAA 1-9. smile

Over a month ago Paradox-01 and I also had the plan to make a Alita model like BAALO 4-6 as a team contribution for ONI AE.
I asked him if he would help me to get my Alita model into ONI AE after I finished it in Milkshape 3D.
I wanted to surprise you with the ready result, but unfortunately I had no time to work on it in the last 3 weeks and now geyser was quicker than me.^^

So I think it makes no sense to wait any longer.
Here is my unfinished Alita Model.

The mesh is nearly ready but I still have a lot to do at the skin and the textures.
At the time the eyes don't look really like Alita in BAALO 4-6 and I have to improve it.

Do you like my model and do you think it could be a cool contribution for ONI AE? smile

Re: Screenshots

I'm currently kind of hesitant to include more models in AE. Haven't really decided the requirements for them to get in yet.

Re: Screenshots

I always tell people to think about it this way: if all the best mods were in the AE, why would people want to look for more mods to install?  I like that there's quality third-party mods that can be installed alongside the AE but are not included.

Re: Screenshots

Well I thought the point of AE was to put the best mods in to show the best of the community. I guess that inconsistency is part of why we haven't really put in any mods. tongue

Re: Screenshots

Well, I would say one of the AE's purposes is to show some of the best mods.  There's multiple issues that crop up when you start trying to include "all the best mods".  The AE is also for distributing patches and the modding framework.  So really it's a great first step as far as getting into mods, as a player or modder -- but then we have all the mods on the Depot that aren't part of the AE.  We want to leave some quality stuff out there so that there's a reason to look for third-party mods.

Re: Screenshots

Well of course we wouldn't put everything, that would make the filesize monstrous.

Why not upload it to the forums in a new topic instead of drawing a different one off topic?

Re: Screenshots

Well, I think stuff to add to AE would be more "On Topic" as it were. Models like Motoko, Master Chief, and other characters taken from other games, and perhaps invented characters, should be third party stuff, the choice of each use to decide to download or not, same with scripts that don't have to do so much with Oni, that don't add to story or anything.

Things like Hi-Def remakes of models like Leucha's new HD model of Konoko, Severed textures, and other mods that focus on gameplay, and playstyle, like combat behaviour mods and such, and scripts that maybe integrate themselves into the story, like modified boss battles, should be included.

Anyways, this is just how I see it, obviously there are other points of view smile

Re: Screenshots

We got pathfinding in new levels!

geyser created a new arena level that has pathfinding grids.  To actually create the grids requires a lot of manual work. But there is progress in this area.

I made a quick script, spawning a few AI's and letting them fight.  I would go up the stairs, the AI would follow, I would jump down and the AI would go down the stairs to follow and fight me.

The level file is available at the bottom of this page:  (script not included)
