a controller?I can't seem to get used to the controls on the keyboard...

As far as I know, Oni doesn't have joystick support, but you can use a program like JoyToKey to map your controller to keyboard keys.
To be fair, I didn't like the keyboard controls in Oni at first either. It was the first time I had ever played a game with WASD keymappings. But I'm used to them nowadays, and it is pretty standard for PC games to have this configuration.
What about the controls are you having problems with?

Oni was my first WASD too. Actually, I think Tanarus was, but I thought Tanarus was stupid for it. But then Oni was cool and natural. And then I played Tanarus again and it was cool too.
The end.
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

Oni was the first time I encountered WASD, and I found it easier to use the left-handed controls (PL;') despite being right-handed. I switched to WASD when I started using the OS X port, since the left-handed controls don't quite work, and I'm pretty comfortable with it now

Me too first WASD game was Oni, after that I started changing the controllers of other games to WASD too since I got so used to it
I find Oni's controllers the easiest of all games I've ever palyed. combination of WASD and mouse ... the crouch key is the middle mouse click ....

Kan du si meg det? Jeg er ikke så stø i sannsynlighetsregning.

Lol the arrows are obsolete man. Get with the times.

yup, i remember thinking it was strange using WASD, but ive gotten to relly like it. It's much better for positioning, since your arms are more spread out, and you have many more keys like q,e, etc... directly in reach. with arrows, both your arms were stretched to the right side, you had no other keys around to support your other fingers and you had to move you hand to get at other keys

After playing Descent, no control scheme was ever complicated again for me. Before Descent I probably used the arrow keys for movement, but Descent's two-handed layout forced me to learn to use WASD with my left hand so I could keep my right hand on the keypad. Or maybe I used WASD in Marathon first, dunno.

Oni was the first WASD game for me, too
I'm left-handed, so getting used to WASD was probably harder for me than any of you.
For some games I have to rotate (is this the best word?) my keyboard 90° CCW, so it lies in front of me vertically

You mean the numpad? I knew that, yes.
It's just more tiring to reconfigure _all_ games controls instead of turning my keyboard a little bit.
I'm used to it now.

I didn't know it back then.
Most games don't have a numpad control by default.

@ Gumby: I'd discover this a few years ago, I thought it was somekinda secondary controls, like F for punch and C for kick etc.
