How to draw characters from Oni?

Does anyone know how to think of this? Learning how to draw characters from Oni. I can draw good but not so good. If I wanted to I can probably sketch out Konoko. But possible I'm not a *pro* in drawing. That would be sick if anyone can give out these kind of tutorials. We should have our own Oni fan art page. That would be awesome.

Weel first thing i do is start with the biggest part of the character. the body. The torso to be exact. Then add on the hands legs etc. Always remember tho. NEVER SLOUCH ON UR DESK WHILE DRAWING AS THE PROPORTION OF THE BODY WILL NEVER BE RIGHT. ALWAYS LOOK HIGH UP AND COMPARE THE PROPORTION TILL YOU THINK THATS THE WAY TO DRAW THE CHARACTER.

Actualy when doing this kind of drawing, the easiest thing is to start with the head. It gets you a much more comfortable view, on how big the bodyshape should be. Well, that's what I learned.

Konoko was drawn by pro artists, who learned how to draw real people. Comics always are a simplification. If you know anatomy and coloring, you'll draw comic/anime character like no problem. If you don't... well, this won't be easy.

There're 3 stages in art:

1) you think you learned something,
2) you think you've learned nothing,
3) you understand you didn't have to learn.

In short, practice, practice and practice again until you reach enlightment. There's no universal advice like "start from the head", "draw a sketch first" etc. If you want to draw Konoko, Google some art tutorials. If you want to draw her really cool, you'll probably have to Google LOTS of them.

You can't demand a lot from a pic drawn in 5 minutes, just to show how are they generally made. Probably I'll make a decent one today though.

I love it when people ask me questions like "Did you draw it yourself"? Of course not, Photoshop is doing me a favor and works in stand-alone mode.
