With the AE released, AI is able to dash and they can run faster than before.
Sometime I feel annoyed because AIs dash so quickly. I think the velocity when they run should be reduced: Make female characters run slower, don't let AI to dash but make male characters run faster than female characters do. Also, make female characters dash slower but faster than male character run a little bit. So the order will look like this:
Female run < Male run <= Female dash < Male dash.

faster a bit slower a bit faster a bit
I don't know if everyone will like this change. Just tell me your thought.

it look a bit complicated ( but ..yeh i get what u mean.....and i don't actually have any opinion on it !
by the way i fix the runing and dash problem http://oni.bungie.org/community/forum/v … hp?id=1078

Why do you want males to be faster?
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

stick to the fact =] and more realistic
BUT ONE THING ! some of the character run so girly.....but when they dash they look so wired !

basically a mod to say that all guys can run faster than girls. since girls are so unathletic, well thats not my opinion but just saying.

Well, I think we know that male athletes are faster than females in real life, but it's not a big difference (seems like women run at about 90% the speed of men), and, somehow, holding to the idea of guys-are-athletically-better-than-girls in a game where one woman kicks all their butts seems kinda wrong. Also, when you say "female characters", I think of Furies, and Furies are elite female Strikers, so they should be faster than practically anyone (no heavy armor like the Elites).
That being said, I won't defend the current dash speeds, love_Oni, because I don't know how they were set; all I know is that, when making the AE, we wanted the AIs to be able to catch Konoko when she is running, so we forced dashing (now an optional mod). Anyway, it's hard for me to give an opinion on your proposal to lower/raise some speeds "a bit" because I don't know what "a bit" is. What kind of percentage would you change the speeds by?

Their speed is sometimes their disadvantage; they get stuck in doorframes

If you can change the individual speeds of each character that'd be cool to make them more varied, like heavy units fairly slow and like ninjas faster than Konoko and stuff.
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

but it would be a problem when playing as a brute, because catching those ninjas will be a pain

Yes, Leus has hit on what was bothering me about the initial idea, which is that you need to think about each class' strength and weight. Here's how I would do it, let's see how others would arrange it:
Kerr < Griffin < Thugs & civilians < Tankers < Elite Strikers < TCTF SWAT & Black Ops < Strikers < Comm Troopers < Muro < Konoko < Ninjas < Furies
I might even have the ranges of dashing and running speed overlap, setting Kerr's dash to be equal to Muro's run and Griffin's dash equal to Konoko's run (but thugs/civilians would dash faster than ninjas and furies run). Just because it's silly to see old guys dashing like they're little kids.

Hmm interesting. Here's how I'd do it, with no real necessary reason why this is better.
Run speed, slowest to fastest:
1. Elites/SWAT/Barabas
2. Kerr/Scientists/Tankers
3. Griffin/Thugs/Strikers/Civilians/TCTF Troops/Cops/Comm Strikers/Snipers/Shinitama
4. Furies/Konoko/Muro/Drones
5. Ninjas/Mukade
Dash speed
1. Kerr/Scientists
2. Elites/SWAT/Barabas/Civilians/Tankers/Thugs/Griffin/Snipers
3. Strikers/TCTF Troops/Cops/Comm Strikers/Shinitama/Drones
4. Furies/Muro/Konoko
5. Ninjas/Mukade
I dunno. Might be fun.
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

That makes sense to me too. And Muro and Konoko probably should have the same speed, I suppose. Also, I forgot a few types/characters in my list, but oh well, I'll just switch my endorsement to your list. (But what are "drones"?)
Okay, any other opinions out there?

Leus' list looks good. I'd be inclined to place Snipers on the same level as Comm. Troopers, though, given that both are physically weak specialists (so says the manual) with light armour.
But what are "drones"?
[Training] drones; bots.

But I remember that Gumby said a 200lb can be fast (here), so that means heavy-suited characters can run faster (Elite, SWAT).
Shinatama, comguy and Sniper are weak, I think they run the same slow as Kerr and Griffin do. I also think Striker and Tanker can be faster, since Strikers are male and don't wear armor, and Tankers are robots.
The currently running's and dashing's velocity was increased, I think it should be down to normal.

Hmm makes sense. I was just thinkin' they're probably not trained for especially fast movement as snipers, but they probably actually are as mercenaries.
If we don't change the direction we're going, we'll likely end up where we're headed.

Strikers do have some armor, and shinitama is an android so she a robot and most robots can run fast. Comguy should be fast since they basically have no armor and are smaller than most guys so they can run faster.

I wish I knew what the current speeds are, relative to each other. I know ninjas are more or less the fastest, but I don't know most of the order of running/dashing speeds.

I think ill see who's faster if i can.

Well, someone who has the TRAMs laid out in front of them, like love_Oni, can probably answer this question most accurately.

Just extract some running/dashing animations and compare the velocity numbers in .xml files.
