Re: Screenshots

What a difference!

The image on the left is a new texture format bgra32 with an alpha channel.  The image on the right is the current bgra4444.

Re: Screenshots

Woa, indeed! Much, much nicer. By how much did the color count increase with the new format?

Re: Screenshots

Yes, see all the banding in the colors of the face on the right (on the forehead, for instance)?  The color palette in Oni is stuck in the era of 16-bit displays, but our computers started displaying 24- and 32-bit colors years ago, so now Oni is finally able to catch up with the present-day a little.

How did you got bgra32 to work?!!?!
When I use it, the texture becomes a shiny white part??!
Is this in the new AE, or OniSplit (whatever)?!

And... Where do I download the engine patch? Because there's no download link for Windows, only for MAC.

Re: Screenshots

Perhaps some of you know autostitch. It's a little program which allows one to combine multiple photos into one big panorama. And it doesn't work only for photos! I tried to make a few panoramas with Oni screenshots of various places. Here are the one that look the best.

Acid Vats

Musashi Manufacturing entrance

Reasearch Lab entrance

(beware, as you can see two of the images are of monstrous size)

Thanks smile . Seeing things from a different angle often makes them look nicer.

How do you plan to do that? The only options I see are cropping, which greatly reduces the size of the image, and Clone Stamping, which is long and sometimes ugly.
