Hallo again guys! How are y'all?
Y'know,I've been thinking more about using stealth in oni ( which's a huge change,compared to my old playstyle "beat the crap out of anyone hardcore style" ) and then I thought: Hey,there's no stealth pistol in oni..I mean,if I shoot a striker right here,the entire syndicate army will come down the lolstairs and eat me.
So,would it be possible to make a gun that wont be so...alarming? I know the crapbell is already sort of a stealth pistol,but I want something stealthier..flashier.

Yeah, whenever she needs to be stealthy. Which, actually, is pretty much all the time. In fact, if she had a silenced gun, I don't think she'd ever even use the Campbell. Perhaps we're better off leaving this aspect of the game alone. What do you guys think?

In other games I can play where stealth was an option (Fallout 3 comes to mind) silenced guns were balanced by doing less damage, and making alert, but not knowing your position.

That's a point. I was actually thinking that a gun with a silencer still would have some radius for alerting AI, just a smaller one than normal. Even if it alerted them to your location within that radius, it would at least be stealthier.

The problem is the silenced is quite-like a pistol so it should do the same damage as the Campbell. But if so then it will give us quite much advantage.

Make it have less ammo per clip then. Unlike Fallout 3, where you can stor egobs of ammo, in Oni you only get what the level gives you.

yes that would be cool cause ive always tried sneaking thru lvls and a gun that nobody can hear will be effective

Also, silencers do slow the bullet down, so apparently they are known to do less damage in real life. They also obscure the location of the shooter, which would be in line with Gumby's suggestion that the AI might be alerted, but not aware of your location, if they heard it.

why not make a "silencer gun" like delete the sound (or add the second half of the sound of a campbell gun) when you shoot.
and maybe theres a thing that attracts attention to enemy in the game code or something. So just delete that and ta da! there you go. a "silenced gun"
