Hey guys. I have started to mess around with photoshop, and I felt I could make myself useful by improving some of the character textures in Oni. Where and how do I extract the textures from the game files? Thanks.

maybe someone will be able to better help you, but for now,
take a look at that.
I intentionally spell dang, dange, FYI.

First you'll need the main mod named "edition" which is the current project on this site.
Now follow these steps:
1. Create a new .bat file, and place it in "Oni\edition\install\".
2. Now edit it, and add the following line: "OniSplit -extract:tga Textures ..\GameDataFolder\level0_final\TXMP*.oni"
3. Then run the file, and it'll create a map called "Textures", which all of your images will be extracted in.
When your done editing some files, post agian, and I'll show you how to import the files agian. ![]()

Finally got around to it, but it didn't seem to work. The command window just flashed open and closed for a second, it didn't seem to extract anything, and I can't find the new texture folder in the level folder.

Did you create and run the .bat file?

What command did you enter? It helps to run it in a permanent command window...
Iritscen: ![]()
Iritscen: it's amazing this program even works
Gumby: i know
Iritscen: and that statement applies to my code, not just yours

I usualy use Total Commander, which make you able to do a quick CMD at a specific location.
But, both things should work.

Yes, if you open up the Command Prompt application, then "cd" to OniSplit's directory and type a command, you will get to see what error message it may be returning.
Check out the Anniversary Edition Seven at !
