What's Everybody doing these days :\ ?

mm yeah there's not much going on the forum lately, I guess we're all busy with real life stuff. so whatcha all doing ?

I'm really busy this semester with studying and assignments and presentations (final year ), not much spare time to oni or do anything except maybe watch some tv   I'm following X-factor and Survivor

How about you ^_^ ?

I'm all stressed out because of Christmas. I don't know about my wishlist, or how I'm going to allocate my money on presents for my family. Anything besides that, I think it's going to be great. ^_^

Well, after my de_dust "port", or, rather, rip, got kinda hammered, I basically haven't been doing anything regarding modding video games aside from learning basics of Valve Hammer Editor. So, right now my week schedule looks like this:
Sunday: "Oh s*** tomorrow's German"
Monday: "Oh s*** tomorrow's biology"
Tuesday: "Oh s*** tomorrow's physics"
[...]
Friday: "Finally some free time"
So all I'm doing right now is learning, playing video games, sitting on our IRC channel and screwing around in Sony Vegas. Boring. But, well I'm planning to make a "Bad Company 2 Real Life" movie. So far I've managed to make a "tech demo" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0D0Vgb86sk And I'm gonna start learning Adobe After Effects.

These last few months have been busier because I've been working longer hours and buying a house.  Besides that, it's just a pile-up of real-life stuff that's been keeping me busy.  I'm eager to get back to my Oni projects early next year.

There have been very little oni playing (or any other game for that matter) in my life these last couple of months cause of tests aswell as fencing training being littered all over my schedule, but in the christmas holidays you'll surely see me posting here and on the IRC and testing out whatever you guys have been / are doing to Oni.

-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....

After those few IRC sessions with Geyser I simply abandoned the project and moved on to VHE (how about porting Oni levels into CS, eh?). I can release all the files if you want.

Did I miss something? Was geyser actually on the IRC? I haven't seen him around for ages. It'd be cool to have him around from time to time, he really helped me progress from a complete n00b to amateur in modding.

Delano: Please release the level and Sketchup files.

Also, if you could make a mini tutorial on how to extract or convert a CS map to a 3D program like Sketchup.  This will be useful information., perhaps there is or will be a fan made level that would fit well with Oni.

Been busy these past couple weeks. More than usual. Although, even if I wanted to mod I probably couldn't, we're down to my 3-years-obsolete computer and the family one, which is either taken, or that I use for other stuff. Most likely won't be doing much in the way of modding until I get a better computer, which is gonna be months at least.

Been busy with my girlfriend, school, reenactment group, and family.  In short, I went and got a life.

That, and my compy doesn't run Oni anymore because I upgraded to Lion.
