Oh, BTW, I think Tiga by Tobias Tinker would fit Oni. Too bad it's licensed though.

I like to mute Oni and play this instead. I'll have to import it once I get Onisplit.

How about any MDK 2 music? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGA-2Sur … re=related
-I noticed that the hackers of oni community made a lot of modifications before they locked me up, do you have any idea what they want with an old game? -Modifications? What kind of modifications?
-Hard to tell, without getting a look at things but it looks like they're repurposing it. -Why?
-Beats me, all the game has is brutal melee combat and furious gunplay. -I dont like the sound of that.....

My god! I remember that game, from many years ago!
But yes, there is some good music there.
However, can we legally use it?

Some of the ambient music in Oni, was pulled right from Myth. If you need any more of that, I am sure you know where to look.

This is non profit, the game is old, no one would possibly give a crap.
Absolutely best part of Brink is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZdQI4Hu … re=related I see it as a good main menu theme.
But anyway, let's get serious on the topic, these are my offers for:
Boss Fight Music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHnnbtZIF9w
Max Payne soundtrack fits for Syndicate Mountain Compound: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_MdqyS8s0k&fmt=18
Same goes for some of Beyond Good & Evil tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ2hjEDAzlo
And you just HAVE TO check a game called Freedom Fighters. Best soundtrack I have ever heard, every track on it's OST is a golden one. After all, Jesper Kyd was there (he worked on MDK2 too). Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkUVUKUs … re=related
If I'll come with something else then I'll post it.

You know, over in the Marathon forum, they compose their own new music for the game

I'd like it if we made our own music (Speaking as someone that cannot compose music of course).

I'm not sure if this music is copyrighted, but it is from a video game, and it is... about the RADest thing ever.

Hey, that's not half bad. Sounds alot like what might be in Oni. If one of the sound people could have a go at it, maybe Leus, if he's around, they could make it sound a bit more techno, and a bit more "Oni-like" and I would definatly add it to my Oni soundtrack
"He looks mean enough to tear my arm off and beat me to death with it. In fact, he looks mean enough to tear his OWN arm off and beat me to death with it."

I try to add new music, But the problem is that those part of music is random to play in the game. so is not possible to make a regular music in oni?

If you post the xml code we might see what cause the randomness and remove it.

You can avoid randomness by using only one sound file.
mus_mashup_in + mus_mashup_1-7 + mus_mashup_out => SNDDmus_mashup.oni

SNDD_newmusic1.oni (The individual music files - Its best to break up the music into segments of perhaps 30 secs to a minute each - Oni may crash or become sluggish if you use a single file for the music)
Thank for paradox-01 and i try , the sentence is not really correct. Oni will not crash if you use a single file and above xml code.

EdT surly had his reasons to write that warning.
Even if the import of 5 or even 30 minutes sound tracks works, we don't know when performs issues appear.
Remember that also few special particle can bring the engine near a buffer overflow: ID explosion with other effects around. At least for PC, dunno for Mac. I've more than enough cpu and grafics card power but it seems that Oni's engine decides when it is enough.
So I would like to wait for more tests before we write something new at the wiki.
gmsly, if you can, please test your mod project with and without music.
You could try to play various long sound tracks at the same time and see what happen. (Does the music become distorted? Does the fps go down? Etc.)

So, Nyan Cat is still a white texture for me, and I'm probably on a completely different computer from when I first got that result. Are others getting the animated TXMP properly?
Check out the Anniversary Edition Seven at ae.oni2.net!

The TXMP is made of 400x400 pixel textures which is not a standard size. Could this be a problem for Macs?
Edit: On the other hand it works on my own Mac Mini. Otherwise I wouldn't have it released.
