The boy does look a bit like Chris Hughes, but nothing definite.
Armstrong, though, was definitely caught on those 2 pictures
(caught in the act of deciding that MP sucks too much for us 
)

I did a google search for Kevin Armstrong and there is no mention of him outside of Bungie or any contact info.
On another note I came across this:

There are lots of famous and less famous people named Kevin Armstrong out there.
From hockey goalkeepers to guitarists from David Bowie's band to opera baritones.
Not too easy to make out where that particular K.A. went after Oni and where he is now.
"Oni (networking)" has to be one of the most ironic CV mentions ever
Actually, he seems to have done coding for many other components (UI, sound engine...)

An easy trivia and a harder one. What does "chenille" mean?
The harder one is "What does it do?". No, not just eye candy.

I believe Chenille refers to the Chenille plant, which is exactly what Konoko's extremities look like
when they are lit up by the glow of the Daodan. Kind of a fuzzy, soft glow.
What does it do? Well, I think it gives your character that silly shield that Muro, Barabas, and
Mukade have during the boss fights.
Somewhat correct? Not at all?
